Welcome to Cider Mill mural

School Houses and Community

  • Cider Mill School honors Wilton’s rich heritage by naming each of its academic houses after one of the town’s historic schoolhouses. These houses create smaller, student-centered learning communities that foster belonging, school spirit, and collaboration.

House Organization

  • South House: Composed of Kent and Belden Hill houses.
  • North House: Composed of Cannondale and Nod Hill houses.
  • Flexible Learning: Students can move flexibly between the two houses within their assigned North or South team.

Core Values: The 3 Rs

Within each house, students and staff collaborate to build critical thinking skills, prepare for future success, and practice our fundamental values:

  • Respectful: Honoring themselves, their peers, and their teachers.
  • Responsible: Taking ownership of their actions and learning.
  • Ready to Learn: Coming to school prepared and eager to engage every day.

Central Facilities & Shared Resources

The center of Cider Mill serves as the primary hub for school operations, specialized learning spaces, and student services.

Key Shared Spaces Include:

  • Student Services & Admin: Main office, nurse's office, and guidance offices.
  • Academic Support & Science: Science laboratories and the Library Learning Commons.
  • Arts & Activities: Dedicated music rooms, a gymnasium, and a fully equipped stage featuring professional lighting and sound for student performances and PTA enrichment programs.
  • Dining Facilities: A cafeteria with a full kitchen and two service lines designed to move students through efficiently so they have maximum time to enjoy their healthy lunches.
