World Language Program Overview

“Language is a living, kicking, growing, flitting, evolving reality, and the teacher should spontaneously reflect its vibrant and protean qualities.” — John A. Rassias

Learning a new language connects students to the global community, expands their worldviews, and provides vital communication tools for a fast-paced world. The Wilton World Language curriculum serves as a roadmap that guides students toward cross-cultural understanding and real-world fluency.

Key Benefits of the Program

Our curriculum is designed to support students by:

  • Broadening perspectives: Helping students become active members of the global community.

  • Teaching cultural empathy: Developing a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, traditions, and global perspectives.

  • Building linguistic skills: Equipping students with the practical tools needed to speak, read, and write effectively in a new language.

  • Achieving proficiency: Preparing students to communicate confidently in at least one language other than English.
