Program Goals:

Students create new, useful, or innovative products to solve problems by working collaboratively with others, connecting with the global community and experts using a variety of digital environments, media and emerging technologies.

What is Innovation?

  • Innovation means coming up with new ideas or better ways of doing things to help solve problems and improve the world around us.

 

Empowering Digital Age Learners through ISTE Standards

Our students utilize educational technology to deepen knowledge, collaborate globally, and express original ideas. Learners innovate and grow across the key ISTE dimensions:

  • Global Collaborator: Connecting virtually and asynchronously with peers, subject-matter experts, and global communities to broaden mutual understanding, examine issues from multiple viewpoints, and work toward shared goals.

  • Creative Communicator: Choosing the most effective digital platforms, media tools, and formats to publish, present, and clearly articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

  • Knowledge Constructor: Critically evaluating digital resources, curating information, and building meaningful connections between data to construct knowledge and produce creative artifacts.

  • Innovative Designer & Computational Thinker: Analyzing complex problems, formulating well-reasoned arguments, and testing solutions through collaborative, technology-driven design processes.

  • Digital Citizen: Engaging in safe, ethical, and responsible online practices while leveraging collaborative tools to build positive digital relationships
